How much do you charge for sessions?
Counselling services are offered at a rate of $190/hour. Payment is collected at the time of service and receipts are automatically issued for insurance purposes. Please check with your insurance company to ensure you are covered for counselling services provided by an MSW. I can also provide direct billing through Alberta Blue Cross.
do you offer services in-person?
EMPWR only offers telehealth services at this time, meaning all appointments are done by phone or video. This is designed to reduce barriers and allow you to access support from the comfort of your own home.
will my information be kept private and confidential?
All information provided is kept private and confidential except in the following circumstances:
Abuse and/or neglect of a minor (someone who is 17 years of age and under) or a dependant adult (someone who is 18 years of age or older and is under the care of others)
A significant intent to harm yourself or another person
Sexual violence perpetrated towards a client or patient by a professional regulated under the Health Professions Act
As required by law, in the event your file is subpoenaed by the courts
As a registered social worker, I am licensed through the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) and adhere to the Canadian Association of Social Workers’ (CASW) Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Ethical Practice.
